Author Information

Jane Freedman is a Professor at the Université of Paris 8 and Co-Director of the Paris Centre for Sociological and Political Research (CRESPPA). Her research engages feminist intersectional approaches to the study of migration. Publications include Gendering the International Asylum and Refugee Debate (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), and A Gendered Approach to the Syrian Refugee Crisis (Routledge, 2017). Nina Sahraoui is Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Researcher at the Paris Centre for Sociological and Political Research, CNRS. Among her recent publications are the monograph Racialised Workers and European Older-Age Care (Palgrave, 2019) and the edited volume Border Across Healthcare (Berghahn Books, 2020).  Evangelia Tastsoglou is a Professor of Sociology and Global Development Studies at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada.  Her research engages feminist intersectional perspectives on women, gender and various aspects of migration, violence and citizenship. Publications include Interrogating Gender, Violence, and the State in National and Transnational Contexts, Current Sociology Monograph Series (SAGE, 2016) and edited special issue on Gender, Violence and Forced Migration in Frontiers in Human Dynamics – Refugees and Conflict  (2021, Open Access)
