Tarun Kumar Mondal is working as a Professor in the Department of Geography, University of Kalyani, West Bengal, India. He is teaching Geography in this department since 2007. He has completed his Postgraduation and Ph.D. in Geography from The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India. His research mainly focuses on gender issues in geography, agriculture and rural development, hazard and disaster, and climate change. He has published various significant research articles in national and international journals and book chapters with international publishers. He holds the life membership of the Geographical Society of India, National Association of Geographers, India, National Geographical Society of India, Regional Science Association, India and Foundation of Practising Geographers.    Paramita Roychowdhury is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography, Kazi Nazrul University, West Bengal, India. She has been teaching Geography at undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 2006. She has completed her M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Geography from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. Her research interests are in gender issues in geography, regional development and planning, agriculture and rural development, and rural-urban transformations. She has published notable research articles in national and international journals and book chapters with international publishers. She is associated with various academic organizations such as National Associations of Geographers, India, The Deccan Geographical Society, Regional Science Association, India and Institute of Landscape, Ecology and Ekistics.
