OverviewMany countries are experiencing significant changes at three fundamental levels: macro-social and cultural, individual identities, and socialisation and education. In a contemporary unpredictable global landscape, marked by postmodern, post-pandemic, economic and migration crises, as well as geopolitical conflicts, including war in Ukraine, these changes pose challenges for adult education research, as well as for the lives of both women and men. This book takes a gender sensitive perspective to explore how gender influences the experiences of adults in various learning contexts and different areas of life. It compiles reflections from eighteen researchers from Europe, Brazil, and Canada across the fields of social sciences, humanities, and art, providing an interdisciplinary perspective in their analyses.
