Reviews

This is a lavish, colour tour through the history of gardening. There are discussions and photographs from wonderful early gardens such as Montacute House, Somerset, Chinese gardens and the garden that surrounds the Taj Mahal, right up to today's examples by designers such as Luis Barragan or Roberto Burle Marx in South America. A well-researched and well-written book. (Kirkus UK)
