Vanessa Hammler Kenon , Ed.D., is the Associate Vice President Technology Compliance and Community Engagement and oversees the audit, compliance, and risk services sections of the University Technology Solutions department. She also supervises the school's experiential learning Classroom to Career Student Ambassador and Internship Program and acts as the department liaison for University Technology Solutions' internal and external community outreach and engagement. Dr. Kenon is an important UTS (UTSA Tech Solutions) connection to UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio) students, professors, and staff. She is a member of several UTSA committees and task forces that support technology, student success, community engagement, audit and compliance, and the UTSA annual United Way SECC (State Employee Charitable Campaign). She also serves as an EDUCAUSE Ambassador and is on the state TASSCC Board. Dr. Kenon directs the UTS Bold Careers Ambassadors and Interns Program at UTSA which is nationally recognized and serves dozens of students each year. Dr. Kenon has over 28 years of experience in higher education positions of instruction, leadership, and management in both private and public higher education programs, with 26 of those years spent overseeing technology-related departments and initiatives. She also serves on various boards and committees in the San Antonio and surrounding communities. James E. Bartlett, II , Ph.D. has 24 years of Teaching Experience. He is currently working as Associate Professor of Postsecondary and Workforce Development at Old Dominion University and Director of the Community College Leadership Ph.D. program. He also worked as Executive Director for the Association for Career and Technical Education Research. He has published research streams, including topics of postsecondary career and technical education, business partnerships, community college improvement, doctoral education, and improving individual and organizational performance. He has published over 40 referred journals and presented research methods and other topics at over 200 national and international conferences. He has also edited numerous professional research journals, including special editions on research methods, and chaired over 75 dissertations. In addition, he has taught and developed business courses, including business communications, management, human resource development, entrepreneurship, and human resource management. Dr. Bartlett regularly presents his research at national conferences such as the Council for the Study of Community Colleges (CSCC), the Association for Career and Technical Education Research (ACTER), and the American Education Research Association (AERA).
