OverviewCurrently, behavioural addictions are growing in popularity and can be compared to chemical addictions in terms of their destructive consequences, which are evident at both the personal and socio-economic levels. The aim of this study was to assess the clinical and psychopathological structure of gambling addiction among bookmaker's clients. A two-stage survey of bookmaker's office clients was conducted. In the first stage, a screening assessment of the risks of involvement in gambling addiction was carried out, describing the characteristics of gambling activity among 216 clients. In the second stage, a detailed clinical and psychopathological study of 128 gamblers from the screening sample was conducted.
