Overview

This book is edited to clear up the new role of liquid fuel and internal combustion engine for high security society after 2030. It consists of following chapters: (1) Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle, (2) Liquid Fuel, (3) BEV and electricity, (4) Development of Internal Combustion Engine, (5) Carbon Neutral Fuel and Internal Combustion Engine, and (6) Summaries. First chapter is concerning the general role of internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEVs) for the social security. Second chapter explains the role of liquid fuel on the energy security. Third chapter reviews new problems concerning of BEV and electricity. These problems come from the vulnerability of electricity society. Fourth and fifth chapters explain the technology readiness levels of high efficiency ICEV and new fuel. Finally future role of internal combustion engine vehicle is discussed in the summaries. We have to re-consider the role of high efficiency ICEV as well as synthesis liquid fuel.
