He has been teaching on Air Transport Management and Pilot Training programmes since 2010 and has worked in a range of management roles within the airline industry, including Inflight Product Manager with Monarch Airlines. He has a degree in Geography from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, an MSc in Air Transport from Cranfield University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Member of the American Association of Geographers. His first airline responsibility was in 1997, checking in a flight from London Luton to Glasgow for a tiny airline called easyJet – at the time operating five aircraft!
