OverviewThis book is a one-stop resource for teaching entomology at undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as for training field entomologists. It addresses current knowledge gaps in all areas of insect science relevant to university teaching and development of practical skills in various fields of applied entomology. The book is based on the results of original work accumulated over the last two decades and written by experts in various fields of entomology who are currently engaged in teaching and field-based entomology research work in various higher education and research institutions. As new discoveries continue to expand in the field, there is an increasing need for a regularly updated and comprehensive reference material. This book meets that need by synthesizing contemporary developments and presenting them in a clear, accessible manner suitable for teaching and applied research. This book will serve as a handy reference for university students, lecturers, researchers, and other entomology enthusiasts in universities and research institutions that teach and research entomology in Africa and worldwide.
