The combination of topic, well-known authors, and accessible presentation of the material should make this an important book for practitioners. In Khetsun Sangpo, we meet Tibet's finest traditions of contemplative education, literary expression, and gentle courage. In Jeffrey Hopkins, we encounter an intrepid explorer and virtually peerless expositor of Tibetan Buddhist inquiry into the practical and profound. It is wonderful to read this record of their mutual interests and startling discoveries drawn from a collaboration that stretches over more than three decades. Jules B. Levinson, PhD, Light of Berotsana Translation Group This collaboration is a valuable introduction to the concept of fundamental mind. Tricycle

Author Information

Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche is one of the few remaining Nyingma lamas trained in Tibet and capable of transmitting in complete form the special precepts of the Nyingma order. A lay priest and renowned yogi-scholar, he was trained in all four lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. He is among the most senior lamas and Great Completeness masters in the Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist tradition and is the most eminent Nyingma historian alive today.
