Overview

Mick has never fully recovered from his service in Vietnam, and he has hit rock bottom. His fondest memories are of his late teens and early 20's, and the fabulously talented band that he led in those years as a gifted guitar player and singer on the brink of fame. Now Mick finds himself impoverished, forced into a retirement home by his estranged son, and completely unable to accept his new circumstances - that is until a sudden brainstorm and a uniquely brilliant idea ignites an excited and single-minded determination to pull his old band members back together after 50 years. Their wildly humorous journey and the great music that they make together enriches their lives and the lives of everyone they touch along the way, from the very old to the very young. Dr. Sam Bierstock is a physician, professional musician, author and humorist who has been producing satirical musical parodies since the mid-1990's, and the author of the hit song ""Before You Go"" in honor of our WWII veterans for which Dr. Sam was awarded the George Washington Honor Medal, Freedoms Foundation.
