A Jewish girl native of Tehran, Iran, Rashel Keshmiri emigrated to the United States with her husband and children in 1990, and went on to receive a Masters degree in psychology specializing in marriage and family therapy. In the decades since, she has successfully treated hundreds of patients, applying her unique blend of psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and self-help to expedite the healing process and even to heal deep emotional trauma. She teaches her techniques at the university level, as well as through radio and television appearances, and now through this guidebook. Each individual must strive, in the course of his or her life, to overcome the haunting injuries of the past. In truth, we are not only struggling to overcome our own injuries, but those passed on from preceding generations as well. This volume is a readable and well organized treatise on a journey towards emotional growth and resilience. It combines personal reflections, subjective insights, theory, and practical guidelines which can support the journey and process of others who struggle with trauma and suffering.
