OverviewTo celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the significant collections developed over the decades by the University libraries, the University Library System has published a commemorative volume From the Treasure House: Jewels from the Library of The Chinese University of Hong Kong to share our wide range of valuable publications, manuscripts, and artworks. The 120 selected items for inclusion in the volume span a period of over 3500 years, ranging from oracle bones of the Shang dynasty (ca. 1675–1029 BC) to contemporary manuscripts. Notable titles include the Yuan dynasty's (1271–1368) Yi benyi fulu zuanshu (Original Meaning of the Book of Changes with Commentaries) and Tripitaka Koreana, the earliest complete Korean edition of the Chinese Buddhist canon, Da zang jing, in existence.
