Author Information

Aditi Banerjee (b.2007) is a spoken word artist. This is her first collection of poetry. She has spoken and performed live poetry at many major companies and international events, discussing the interconnected crises of mental health, climate disaster and racial justice. She has performed at London’s Barbican Centre and contributed to the Global Poetry Project, a gift to the United Nations. Aditi is a top 100 winner of the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award 2021, chosen from more than 14,000 entries in over 100 countries. From protests to universities, Aditi has performed poetry which sheds light on the brutalities of the occupation, displacement and genocide of the Palestinian people and has attracted audiences of over 400 people. Her spoken word performances include many YouTube and Instagram livestreams, such as Youth for Yemen and Poetry in the Pandemic and she has contributed over 200 poems to the web’s largest poetry site: AllPoetry.
