Author Information

Therese Christensen is a feminist living with her husband and son on the Danish sunshine island of Bornholm. She was born in the Philippines and is an adventurer at heart. She is constantly inspired by her wonderful and amazing neurodivergent son who makes her see the world in a different light. She has her MA in Culture Communications and Globalisation from Aalborg University and worked professionally as a consultant advocating for women and children to live a life free of violence. She was awarded Global Pinoy 2018 for her work with the Filipino migrant community in Denmark. Upon leaving Copenhagen for the island she decided to give her first love, writing another chance and this book with her son is hopefully the first of the many. About the illustrator Aigul Gabdullina is a freelance illustrator inspired by people's kindness and joyness of daily life. She expresses it in her drawing of funny characters, kids' designs, and book illustrations such as Aya and the Treasure Hunt (Jagad Kamel AB, Sweden) and From the island to the world (Therese Christensen, Denmark). On a journey called Life, she realized that it is never too late to fulfill the dream! The illustrator's webpage https: //gabdullina.space/ Frederik Christensen is the amazing little boy in this story. He still lives with his mom and dad and pays rent by amusing them with his amazing stories, endless hugs, and kisses.
