Jimmy Williams caught the gardening bug early after planting his first seeds at age four. He learned everything he could at the knee of his grandmother - a South Carolina native who grew up in a traditional Gullah community whose members were descendents of Caribbean slaves. As an adult, Jimmy's career took him far from the garden, but when the pull of the soil became too strong, he started growing full time, planting collard greens, tomatoes, and squash in every crevice of his Los Angeles backyard.
