Walter I. Trattner is professor emeritus of history at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the author of From Poor Law to Welfare State: A History of Social Welfare in America. Mike Chamberlain is an actor and voice-over performer, as well as an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator.
