Overview

Having survived the nuclear age since it began with the Manhattan Project, we have had much time to ponder the scope and reasons for having nuclear weapons that could be deployed and are designed to be deployed in a moment's emergency notice. Now is the time to consider turning the nuclear swords into starship plow-shares. No doubt, additional controversies and concerns will arise if nuclear bomb pulse drives are ever realized in design and construction. However, having thus far survived a better part of one century under the threat of the mushroom cloud, I have great hope that nuclear explosives can be put to good and peaceful uses. I personally have great hopes for the future of nuclear energy to power our spacecraft for eons and even aeons to follow. I hope you as valued prospective readers feel the same way.
