Author Information

Dr. Omar S. Al-Shabab was born in Damascus, Syria in 1947. Between 1971 and 1987, he studied English and Linguistics in Syrian and British universities. He taught English and translation at Aleppo University, (1987-1991). His previous published works include: Interpretation and the Language of Translation, Discourse Structuring and Text Analysis of Three Varieties of English, Linguistic Applications, and Episodes in Interpretation and the Language of Translation (in Arabic). Currently Dr. Al-Shabab is an Associate professor at The Department of Foreign Languages, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia.
