Overview

I wanted to share with you my heart's desire in putting this book in your hands. First of all, allow me to tell you how this book came into being. Every year, for the last 15 years or more, I have spent time fasting and praying for a week in January. I normally spend that time at a place called Prayer Lake in Lettsworth, Louisiana. Prayer Lake has been a blessing to me down through the years. It is a secluded place of approximately 200 acres with cabins designed for the people of God to come and seek God in a peaceful setting. During my time of fasting and prayer I did most of the writing of this book. This book was in letter format sent out to ministers and leaders every month. As I fasted and prayed, I believe with all of my heart, God led me to write these letters. When I fast, I am more sensitive to the voice of God. As you know, fasting does not change God? Fasting and prayer helps me control my flesh and hear from God better. In the last 15 years of my life, a burning passion has developed in my heart to strengthen and encourage leaders and ministers in the kingdom of God. I have traveled to many countries holding crusades and conferences edifying leaders. As you continue to read this book, you will discern my heart for leaders. I desire that every believer be a leader. 2 Timothy 2:2 Paul told Timothy to commit what he had learned to faithful men that would be able to teach others. That scripture burns in my heart more and more. I love preaching to masses of people; but, touching a leader touches even more. As the Lord Jesus helps me to encourage and train a minister, that minister will equip the body of Christ when I am not around. THIS IS A KINGDOM OF GOD THING, NOT A KINGDOM OF TROY THING. I say this many times at our monthly ministers/leaders meeting. In spite of how great my wife thinks I preach, there are some people who do not want to hear me preach. However, with God's help, if I can help their minister help them, PRAISE GOD. As long as the people are strengthened to obey God, it does not matter who did the strengthening. Amen. One last thing, I am a straight forward minister. I do not apologize for the word of God. You would not invest your time and resources to read this book to be lied to. RIGHT? I would rather be angered by the truth and change for the better; then, be happy in my destruction because I was lied to. So, as you read on, KNOW that I am speaking to you out of a heart of love. IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME.
