From Highland Hills to Harlem

Overview

On January 19, 1979, as a 17-year-old young man growing up in the Highland Hills community of South Dallas, Dr. Green stood to preach his first sermon at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church-Dallas, where Dr. Miller E. Johnson, Sr., was Senior Pastor. That day marked the beginning of a lifelong journey-a journey shaped by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and one that has taken him far beyond anything he could have imagined. Decades later, he now stands to preach as pastor of Mt. Neboh Baptist Church-Harlem, with academic, pastoral, entrepreneur, and social justice credential that are the marks of a tedious but triumphal journey. Embark upon this journey with Dr. Johnnie M. Green, from Highland Hills to Harlem.
