The occupation of Senior Pastor has become challenging over the past few years, challenging because many churches across America appear to be struggling with church attendance. This has contributed to a decline in many churches, thereby, causing many to close their doors. This book was designed to present material that any church can apply to their situation and experience recovery. It is my hope this book will help churches recognize, recover from decline, experience growth, and impact the communities where they are located. It is the researcher's desire to see churches recover and to become healthy again. Reverend Dr. Thomas Dawson, Jr. has served as the senior pastor of the SOAR Church since 1998. Prior to his call to pastorship, for 13 years Dr. Dawson held a data control analyst title at the Philadelphia Stock Market and various management titles Automatic Data Processing Brokerage Division, providing client support to major brokerage firms such as Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, and Prudential. Dr. Dawson has received numerous awards and honors for his industry, leadership, support of philanthropic activities, and community service.
