Overview

The journey from being a decorated cop in Miami to being a death row inmate in an Ely, Nevada Prison left victims and ruined lives along the way. At least three of those victims were females who lost their lives because they trusted someone who was placed in a trustworthy position, but turned out to be a killer. David Middleton worked as a police officer, a carpet cleaner, and a cable T.V. installer while selecting his victims. This is not a story about the killer. It is a story about how a fractured legal system, sloppy police work, and human error allowed the killer to remain free to continue killing victims who allowed him into the inner circles of their lives. It is also the story of an 18-year-old victim from Montrose, Colorado who calls from her grave for justice, because the police will not prosecute her killer. Mistakes were made, and that allowed the killer to end up in Reno, Nevada where he set up a torture chamber and continued selecting his victims from those who trusted him.
