"Like many rural British Columbians, Kelly Randall Ricketts has tried his hand at an astonishing array of occupations from logging, to mining, to wrangling horses, to performing country music. Add a passion for the outdoors, heavyweight boxing, and storytelling, and you have the makings of a very lively memoir. Kelly, in ""From Beginning To End,"" continues much like the first book of memoirs, ""One Inch From Disaster,"" (through Harbor Publishing) with true stories that cover a wide range of crazy and incredible experiences. From bloody brawls (inside and outside of the ring), hair-raising and humorous adventures, horseback hunting in grizzly country, and more! There are stories that Ricketts struggled with whether he should share them or not. The nature of these events do not paint a very good image of who he was while he tried to deal with the abuse, emotional and physical, that he endured as a young boy growing up. He left home at a very young age, carrying many scars, that have now faded over time. Through his faith in Jesus Christ, the love of a caring wife and his 8 children, he has found joy, peace, and purpose. At this time Kelly and his long-time companion and wife, Ingrid live in what Ricketts calls their wilderness off-grid paradise; ninety acres of waterfront property, chock full of fat rainbow trout. It is home to geese, ducks, eagles, trumpeter swans, and almost every indigenous bird, fish or wildlife you would find in the beautiful and wild Bulkley Nechako region of North Central British Columbia. They live there with their youngest daughter and her new husband, their horses and large family of LGDs: Ghost, Uschi, Aurora, and Juneau. From Beginning To End, truly Ricketts is an enigma. Family and close friends still find it hard to understand why and what motivates him to do what he does. At 68 years of age, he and those close to him know there is at least another chapter to be told."
