Author Information

Jeff Baldassari practiced law from 1990 to 1995 with the national law firm of BakerHostetler LLP in its Cleveland office. His areas of concentration included creditors' rights, business law and real estate law. At the time of this book's original writing in 1993, BakerHostetler was the 23rd-largest law firm in the United States, with approximately 450 attorneys located in eight offices. In 2023, BakerHostetler remains an AmLaw 50 firm, with over a thousand attorneys in 17 offices.For more than two decades, Jeff served as president and CEO of two manufacturing companies and as a director on six boards in the private sector and nonprofit sector. He has been a client of legal services across a multitude of practice areas. His unique career path has given him the opportunity to see and experience the practice of law as both a provider and a recipient.
