Ferris M From Alice to Afghanistan . Ferris M. Michael; or Mick to those close to him. With two of his mates, a break from city life to enjoy a camel ride in Central Australia is thrown into turmoil by Taliban extremists deciding to gate crash the vacation and target their Persian business mentor Al; for assassination. The fallout calls for a need to head back to Afghanistan. A rescue mission is initiated to extract families being hunted down in the final days of the conflict as the coalition forces abandon the country. The families of Al. Ivan Furyk enlisted in the Australian army at 17 years of age. Two weeks before his 18th birthday he found himself standing guard on the docks of Vung Tau in South Vietnam, guarding ammunition and provisions being offloaded from the HMAS Sydney. After leaving the army he spent the next thirty-two years in the jewellery industry. Most of which were in his own importing and retailing business. This novel is his second, a third due out soon.
