The goal of this book is straightforward and simple: to make so clear an understanding of John 14-16 centered around the concept of Friends of Jesus, words from Jesus Himself, that readers accept the challenge of the potential of someday hearing Jesus say to them personally, Friend. Of course, correlated to this is the goal to present this as a challenge sufficient to overcome the inevitable Falling Away of this generation. The message and teachings of Jesus in John 14-16 are made for troubling, fearful, and perplexing times like this generation of the Falling Away. Almost all people believe in God, Jesus would encourage all as they begin to accept the challenge of Friends to also believe in Him. What Jesus told the Apostles to believe in Him we begin on immediately in this book's focused look on John 14-17.

Jerry continues a lifetime twin passion for Bible and technical work with the writing of Bible commentaries, working 3 Bible websites, and the completion of a book on TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS OF COMPUTERS WITH MATALAB. This technical book, as a matter of fact much in the Bible commentaries particularly as related to a lifetime apologetic of science and religion, is based on 10 years of teaching electronics engineering technology at Eastern New Mexico University, Lee College, and INTELLEC in Algeria plus the extensive and varied Aerospace Engineering. Ann, an avid reader and scholar of many books, has the hard work of editing these approximately 12 Bible commentary books since their official retirements. Ann retired as an RN and Director of Nurses, and Jerry as a Flight Test Engineer and Principal Systems Engineer from Lockheed Martin (General Dynamics) and Raytheon Missile Systems. Ann and Jerry met and married at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee where she was in nurses training at Baptist Memorial Hospital and he was in Naval Aviation Electronics school at Millington. Dr. R. G. Lee performed the wedding ceremony, the next day during a service at Bellevue Dr. Lee licensed Jerry to preach.
