OverviewThe...On the Move series is an audio program for beginners wanting to learn a language in a busy world. This French course is more innovative and appealing than other comparative audio titles - which are based on a repetitive listen and repeat method. A lively narrator guides the listener through the course; combining with two native speakers who also play the part of an engaging story line that periodically develops through the recording. Vocabulary and key phrases are introduced in an manageable way (no endless lists of words), including sound effects to help the learner memorize them. Audio language games provide a fun way of testing and reviewing. And for a taste of authentic language, natural un-scripted conversations are included to attune the learner to the speed at which language is really spoken. This program is published in CD - a format that facilitates movement around the program and easy replaying of sections for review - and positions the series as an upscale product with greater perceived value. The packaging consists of a treble-DVD case that is substantial, more rigid, and with a broader spine. The inclusion of 3 CDs also gives a greater sense of value, while the cover would incorporate a modern and appealing design.
