Overview

""I enjoyed it and very much liked your art. Thank you again for allowing me to read your very nice story."" (Well-known Southwest Children's Book Author) Saguaro cacti are native to the Sonoran Desert, growing very tall with up to 25 arms that point upward as if they are reaching for the sky. When the sun goes down, the Saguaro cacti secretly begin to dance, and dance, and dance! Hip-Hop Harry, Boppin' Betty, and Tappin' Tooty come to life as they dance through the night. But when the sun comes up, they must freeze-so people won't catch them! And sometimes, when they stop dancing, their arms are in the wrong place! This book's playful rhyme is inspired by a 1906 cheerleading song from Lone Star School in Kansas.
