Overview"The FreedomCivics College Edition is a ""turn-key"" 20-session civics course for college-age students and advanced high school students. It is suitable for all adults. The course focuses on and includes the unabridged texts of the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Northwest Ordinance, the U.S. Constitution, Federalist no. 51 and Federalist no.10. It incorporates the foundations of American government, natural law, consent of the governed, the rule of law, virtue and free enterprise. The history is accurate and includes the ancient roots, background, and principles that the Founders relied upon. There are many insights about the colonies, the American Revolution, ratification of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and all 27 amendments. Slavery and other wrongs are covered, the result of flawed human beings, yet the Founders established the legislative branch and courts to correct injustices, as well as the constitutional amendment process. One of the sessions, ""Protecting the Constitution,"" describes the duties of citizenship and how informed voters are essential to protect our Constitutional rights. There are dozens of thoughtful discussion questions, and a test bank of 99 questions available to teachers on request."
