Overview

PDAs aim to simplify everyday life by providing mobile users with the means to perform personal and work tasks. These tasks range from simple actions such as turning on lights in a conference room, reading e-mail and organising events, to more complex tasks such as booking airline tickets, buying and selling shares or managing bank accounts. Contrary to what one might logically think, the segment with the highest demand for specialists in computer systems, programming, and developers is not Information Systems or E-commerce, but rather Portable Systems and Embedded Electronics. In this paper, we address concepts related to PDA architecture and present software developed during the project, analysing the software in question.
