Reviews

Lou Faber's evocative, emotive and imagistic poetry calls us to look without, then look within, to find a stillness wherein the poetry of life itself may breathe and resonate. In this fine collection, he achieves his aim with great aplomb. -Ingrid Wilson, Author, To Catch A Poem. Lou faber has created a whole new genre of poetry. He allows you to see things differently, like never before, images which draw your mind in, while grafting your heart and emotions--it all bleeds into a wonderful experience... Repeated in each poem. Lou's the real deal. -Larry David Allman, Author, Lawyer, Former International Diplomat Louis Faber's imagination has a way of expanding and contracting, expanding and contracting, like breath, transmuting the tiniest particles of observation into nourishment for the heart and soul. -Allegra Huston writer, editor, co-founder of Imaginative StormWhen you read Lou Faber's Free of the Shadow, you'll discover how Faber weaves a luminous tapestry of memory, loss, and renewal into a journey that will carry you through the corridors of time with lyrical precision. From the stark power of Condemned to the gentle wisdom of Bamboo, Faber reminds us that when we search for meaning, we must always embrace the unknown and ""the future beyond our comprehension."" From the quiet ache of A Perfect Stillness to the searching depth of Reaching, each poem invites you to hold the weight of your past up to the light of what remains. Free of the Shadow is an elegy, a meditation, and a revelation. Enjoy. ""Love."" -James Nave, author, founder of Imaginative Storm, co-author of Write What You Don't Know
