"Description ""Free Falling"" traces a year in the life of writer and producer, Ken Vrana, who one day suddenly found himself ensnared in the web of anxiety disorder and clinical depression. Written in real time, as these events unfolded, the book began as nothing more than Ken's way to try and stave off the depression and distract himself from the inevitable feelings of suicide so common to these diseases. As time went on however, it became clear to Ken that what he was going through, whether he survived it himself or not, might serve as a useful tool for others going through the same thing. As it would turn out, noted mental health professionals who have since read the book, have now expressed the opinion that it is one of the most accurate, and authentic reflections of what more and more people are today experiencing but that few have been able to adequately translate to others. Ken has given these terrible diseases a real face through his voice. About the Author Ken Vrana is the President and CEO of the 1 in 8 Foundation, named in October of 2007, the fastest growing breast cancer charity in the world. Ken created the 1 in 8 while working the The Garland Appeal, the charity founded to commemorate the life of Linda Eastman McCartney, Sir Paul McCartney's first wife. Prior to the 1 in 8, Ken was a writer and producer in Los Angeles and also owned an international modeling agency. He also owned an advertising agency in Atlanta and has been involved in motor racing his entire life. Trained as a designer, Ken's work appears in the personal collections of President Jimmy Carter, President Bill Clinton, Sen. Ted Kennedy, actors Jack Lemmon, Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda and racing legends Mario and Michael Andretti."
