Author Information

Valerie Olmos grew up in the Santa Cruz mountains near Santa Cruz, California. In this relatively isolated area, playing with the family's animals was her favorite pastime as a young girl and, as an adult, her love of animals hasn't wavered. She currently lives with her husband, daughter and their two cats and two dogs. The idea for her book series, Fred's Little Farm, came from her own childhood memories with Fred, her father, at the forefront. Her dream is to share these loveable critters and humorous stories with other young children who love animals, too!
