Reviews

a thoroughly readable and very enjoyable book detailing Opert's life and motorsport career. ... The Fred Opert Story an absolute must-buy! - Classic Driver --- [A] story of a likeable, charismatic man who enjoyed a good life, well-lived ... Peter Hill is to be congratulated for this work.- SpeedReaders --- this entertaining book is full of anecdotes and incidents, some of which are scarcely believable! - Speedscene --- an enjoyable read which shed light on a period and area of racing which is not so well known here in Europe - www.silhouet.com --- This entertaining book takes us back to a time when the term political correctness did not exist. Peter R. Hill's work is peppered with anecdotes from the wild days of racing in the 1960s and 1970s ... And we can feel from every line - Fred Opert enjoyed this life to the full. - Mathias Brunner (F1 editor @ Speedweek.com) --- At 'stocking filler' price, though, it's a snip. - Historic Motor Racing News --- Want to make it in racing? The Fred Opert Story, priced at $23.52 from Veloce Publishing in the United Kingdom, will tell you what's really involved. - Jim Donnelly On Wheels --- delightful book which, although small in size is large in content - BRDC Bulletin
