Nicole Thompson and Martina Griffiths are the co-authors of Fred and Flossy Fun cooking with kids Adventures: orange cake book. Nicole born and raised in Trinidad, West Indies and moved to Canada in her teens and now lives in Vancouver. Nicole is veteran kids entertainment producer for video games, film and television. Best known for being executive producer of Disney's Club Penguin. Martina grew up in Ottawa Canada and made her way to the West Coast in her twenties she is an accomplished health professional, waterpolo player and jazz vocalist in Vancouver, Canada. Nicole and Martina together have a shared enthusiasm to create children's characters and experiences inspired by their childhood that facilitate positive, authentic, real interactions and experiences. After years of producing entertainment for kids Nicole had a desire to create content for children that was not on a screen, not mediated but direct and visceral. A digital media producer with a love of books? Nicole say's she just wanted to even the scales and put some balance in the equation of children's experience. Martina wanted to share with a new generation of kids the simplicity of her childhood summer camp experiences of singing, telling jokes, singing songs and cooking orange cakes on the campfire
