She is the author of two novels, Club Daze & The Subtle Realm (Canary Agency 2021), with the sequel Astral Academy forthcoming. Her poetry is sometimes written under late grandmother's name Xaida Jean, and has recently been published by Lemon Jelly Press. She is also the creative director for Phil Lit Journal. Across genres, Simat's work explores the tension between motive and resolution through catharsis and philosophical inquiry. You can explore her full body of work at njsimat.com. T. Chennell lives in West Yorkshire, UK, with her husband, a small band of chickens, their visiting rooster, a dog, and two cats. She delights in sunshine, the shimmer of the world when it glows, and spinning at the top of the moors. Knitting small animals is her daily joy. As each froglet comes to life, it seems to whisper its name, its personality slowly emerging in her hands. She lovingly adapts these patterns from designer Claire Garland. Franklin is a very special frog, a quiet symbol of the individuality we all carry. Franklin the Frog Finds a Home is her first book, but Tamsin also writes poetry and muses on life at Substack, where she can be found as @3redcabbageheads.
