Frank Morrison's (b. 1971, lives in Atlanta) dynamic urban-mannerist images celebrate Black Americans' resilience and dignity in everyday life. A child born into the realities of America's structural inequities, the painter and illustrator knows firsthand that creativity and community have always found ways to rise, thriving even in the face of exclusion. Charles Moore is a New York-based art critic, curator, and published author who primarily examines the representation and impact of Black cultural expression, color theory, abstraction expressionism, borderless curatorial engagement and dialogue with artists. Teddy Reeves, Ph.D. is the Curator of Religion in the Center for the Study of African American Religious Life (CSAARL) at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
