Overview"""Four States of Abuse"" is my journey of experiencing abuse from childhood to adulthood, living in four states. I did not know at the time that I was being abused, but it was abuse, both mentally and physically. I was born in the South, and at a young age, I learned that my mother did not want me and sent me to live with my Aunt and Uncle, who did not have kids. I was raised with the rod, sheltered from society, and taught not to question adults but to follow commands without argument or hesitation. With so many barriers against me, I was an open target for bullies including my Aunt and, eventually, my ex husband. ""Four States of Abuse"" is my survival story from Georgia to New Jersey. I hope to inspire people to escape their situations and seek help."
