Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2020 I planned on only reading a few pages before bed. I was unable to put it down, I ended up reading the whole thing! It's captivating and keeps you wanting more. I also enjoyed the subtle themes about compassion, kindness, love and forgiveness. Once I started it I had to finish it. There is not a lot of fluff to the story. It hits on big themes such as forgiveness (FeFe), redemption, and kindness. I liked the characters and how they related to each other. Lost in a Storm was a coming home story for our hero. He and Laura found a bond between them thru compassion and trust. This was a deviation from the books I normally read, and I'm glad I deviated because it was a good read, and it left readers wanting more. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel.
