Fortune Favours the Grave: A brand-new delightful urban fantasy mystery set in London

Overview

When agents of luck are targeted by an unknown force, the newly formed Medusa Division are sent to investigate in this brand-new delightful urban fantasy. Perfect for fans of Terry Pratchett, Jodi Taylor and Garth Nix's 'Booksellers' series. 'This is the perfect book. It's joyful and funny and sad and flamboyant: everything I always went to Terry Pratchett for' NATASHA PULLEY (on Acts of Cupidity) For agents of the Fortuna Division, being lucky isn't just their blessing, it's their business. Responsible for gifting doses of good fortune to oblivious mortals, they are known for being invincible to disaster. However, when agents of luck start turning up dead, it is clear their own fortunes have taken a bad turn. Agents Erron Grover and Nikita Wolf are recruited to a new team solely tasked with unravelling this mystery, but they face an almost insurmountable challenge. Since the almost-apocalypse several mortals have developed an uncanny ability to see the auras of agency staff and piece together their role in controlling destiny - and will do anything to reclaim their fate. This is one problem croissants and ice cream cannot solve. Has the Afterlife Agency's luck finally run out? 'The perfect balance of fast paced and fun ... It hit me in the heart with a gold arrow!' ROSE BLACK, author of Til Death Do Us Bard (on Acts of Cupidity) Tropes: > Grumpy x Sunshine > M/M Friends to Romance > High Stakes (Good vs Evil) > Larger-Than-Life Threat

Author Information

E. S. Drake grew up in Bedford, a natural daydreamer as a child, penning poetry by moonlight and escaping into her imagination. She later moved to Bodmin Moor to dwell among the wild things, exploring different genres of writing while building a business teaching archery and survival skills. The darker aspects of her past have been her main motivation for creating flawed and complex characters to encapsulate the pitfalls of humanity, attempting to navigate our vulnerability with humour and compassion.
