Local author Angela Thaden Hahn has teamed with Joseph E. Berg, director of the 4th Infantry Division Museum, in putting together this pictorial history of the mountain post. Hahn is a 45-year resident of the Pikes Peak region and lived for a short time on Fort Carson while her career Army father was stationed there. In this publication, she shares the history of the region where the army facility is now located, while Berg makes available numerous photographs from the museum collection and adds his vast knowledge in military affairs.
