Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationOreste Lombardi was born in Cedar City, Utah. He graduated from the California Institute of Technology in 1955 with a degree in Geochemistry and New Mexico Tech in 1957 with a M.S. in Geochemistry. He has returned to school from time to time to study more chemistry. He worked for the U.S Navy at Michelson Laboratories at China Lake, California where he worked in analytical chemistry, geology, weather modification, oceanography, seismology and neurological cetacean studies. In connection with the cetacean studies he swam with dolphins at Point Magu. He studied neuroanatomy at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and has done much self directed studies in medicine. As a teen ager he had his own chemical laboratory. He has worked in medical labs and also in a research lab preparing investigational anti cancer drugs. He was chief chemist at a soda plant on Owens Lake near Death Valley. He has spent many years as a teacher on the Navajo Indian Reservation teaching mathematics, chemistry, earth science, and physics. He is the tribal genealogist for the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah and is also the genealogist for the Wyannie Malone Museum in the Bahamas for which he authored the Dolly Mae CD that is considered the bible of Bahamian genealogy. He and his wife have been volunteer digital photographers for FamilySearch 2003 to 2012 and director of the Mesa, Arizona Family Search data processing center in 2013.
