Forge Me

Overview

Katherine Nolwood, Markleville High Senior, has started the last year in a long high school career. She and her best friend, quarter-back Tyler Markley, can't wait to leave their hometown in the rear view mirror. It has always been them against the world, together . . . until suddenly it's not. A car crash leaves Tyler with amnesia. He's forgotten every moment of his friendship with Katherine. Devastated, she watches him from the sidelines. What else can she do? Yet, it's from a distance that she sees him most clearly. Small details add up until she realizes this Tyler is not the Tyler she knew. Can Katherine convince this doppelgänger to lead her to her real friend? Or will she find herself in a deadly game of her own making? After all, some secrets are hidden for a reason.

Author Information

Fae McKae grew up in a small town where she spent years of her life between the pages of her favorite books. Like many aspiring authors, her ambitions turned from reading to writing. This passion followed her through four years of engineering college and her career as a software developer. In order to imbue her writing with realism, Fae purposefully experiences as many new things as possible. A friend taught her Uechi-Ryū, a traditional style of Okinawan karate, similar to Forge Me leading character Katherine Nolwood's skills. However, Fae possesses about 110% less coordination than Katherine.Fae still works full-time as a software engineer while pursuing a Master's in Computer Science.
