Author Information

Joan Hope MacNaughton, a third-generation theatrical artist, was born in Manhattan, New York. She began her career in dance at the age of seven in Manhattan under the tutelage of eminent teachers in the world of dance. When her family moved to Long Island, she studied dance at the LeRoy Dance Studio in Lynbrook, New York, which was owned by a famous vaudeville team. At the age of 19 she purchased the LeRoy Dance Studio; re-named it Leggz Ltd. Dance; and re-located to its present home in Rockville Centre, New York. This is Joan's first children's book.
