Overview

Author Information

Lowell Cauffiel is an American true crime author, novelist, screenwriter, and film and television producer. Cauffiel began his writing career as a contributor to music magazines, including Rolling Stone and Creem. He went on to become an award-winning reporter with the Detroit News and Detroit Monthly Magazine during the 1970s and 1980s. Cauffiel is cofounder of Primary Purpose Productions, a nonprofit production company that creates short films about addicts and alcoholics in recovery. Pete Cross is an Earphones Award-winning narrator. He holds a BA in theater from the University of Toledo and an MFA in acting from the California Institute of the Arts. His experience on stage includes Carnegie Hall, and he has also acted in film. He has served on the faculty at Cal Arts and with Aquila Morong Studio in Hollywood. He has coached for film and theatrical productions and continues to work with private clients all over the world.
