OverviewIn the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus compares every scribe with a caretaker who pulls out of his treasure things new and old. So it is from the Bible that I can draw inspiration from the words and stories old and new. In this edition, the author brings together some of his considerations (sermon outlines) which almost all are previously published in the journal At your service. The basic idea is that the biblical texts and their topics are expressiveness for people with questions. The Bible is more than a history book. It is a book of life. Harry Tacken (Venray 1961), is pastor of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands and worked in Mijdrecht since September 2007. Previously, he worked for ten years as a pastor in the Roman Catholic Church. He has published a songbook (2003) and an opportunity edition of John the Baptist (2008). Texts from him regularly appear in some liturgical periodicals, such as The First Day and Journal of the Visitation. The author is married and a father of three children.
