Reviews

A well-written, illustrated, and even entertaining book on breeding to obtain a foal. It provides good detail (i.e., scientifically based) about the steps, potential pitfalls, and benefits of breeding to obtain a foal from your favorite mare without being overly technical for the beginner. For someone contemplating breeding their mare for the first time, I would highly recommend this book as a great place to start the adventure. --James R. Strickland, PhD, professor in the department of animal and veterinary sciences at Clemson University
