He holds a master of science in Electro-Mechanical System Design 2010 (Mechanical Engineering) and a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering 2014 (Investigation and Optimisation of a Discrete Fluid Power PTO-system for Wave Energy Converters) from Aalborg University. Professor Hansen has taught the subject of fluid power systems since 2010. Next to teaching courses in fluid power systems, he supervises student semester projects concerning design, modeling, analysis, and control of fluid power and mechatronic systems.
