Overview

Fluid mechanics refers to the branch of physics that studies the mechanics of forces acting on fluids such as plasmas, gases and liquids. It is used in many disciplines such as geophysics, meteorology, chemical and biological engineering, mechanical engineering, oceanography, biology, civil engineering and astrophysics.
